With Alice Herden and Athena Phillips; a visit to see what was around. Although we mostly stayed north of Rattlesnake Camp Road, we drove South Road all the way south to the helipad near Eagle Nest Sink. In short, we covered most of the area accessible to regular vehicles! A few photographs taken with my cell-phone have a specific location and time, but for the most part, nearly all records from today were taken with my camera (which lacks GPS), so I have drawn a large circle and used our start time of 0912. I did not record the weather at any spot, but it was sunny, hot, and humid. We spent much time at the thistle spot along Rattlesnake Camp Road; we counted 49 swallowtails and saw many skippers here. Alice and Athena left before I did; I left at 1615.
