There were many robust plants done flowering and with lots of seed pods. A few had remains of flowers at the top; this one appeared to be one of the last to have opened.

The lizard might be Aspidoscelis tigris?

My understanding is that T. elegans in San Luis Obispo county are black and yellow with little to no red.

Found under log in the sand

was under a coverboard with a jerusalem cricket. curled its tail, musked, and tried to flew when disturbed. the temperature under the board was 70.5 degrees F and the humidity was 90.1% RH.

Found in our pool in Madera County

Found on bank covered with mosses, Mediterranean grasses and forbs, growing from buried moth larvae and pupae. Found at same location a few years ago.
