Long slender sculpin, possibly Chitonotus pugetensis; 15 cm long (approx); 21 m depth

Here was a new find for me... this fringhead showing off some type of false eyespot. Unknown if it's a mating display or otherwise.

Far back in a cave at night. Depth about 30 ft.

Usually partially buried in clean sand in shallow water close to shore along beaches with moderate wave action, difficult to see.

85 fsw in sand, South Wall of submarine canyon

Seen at night at 7 meters depth

found at 184ft deep, blending in with a school of squarespot rockfish.

Location not 100% exact, but within a mile radius.

Chub with horizontal yellow stripes, schooling with opaleye and zebra perch. Best guess is blue-bronze chub (Kyphosus vaigiensis).
