Large beds growing on the shelves, much smaller than the parchment tubes washed up on beaches. Most of these photos at c6m (high tide). The clump was weird.

I thought it was an eel but looking at the photos the Variable Oystercatcher caught and ate some kind of large marine worm?

In rock pool, slowly wriggling.

Colonies of these creatures are present on the inner edge of the reef.

Marine worm. Nocturnal. Didn't react to light. 3 to 4 metres long. retracted to burrow when nudged. Seemed to be a section of moult?

Swarming at the surface in vast numbers on the September (spring) full moon. Very fast swimmer.
