Erect rough-feeling shrub 40cm high with small (c<1cm) leaves folded longitudinally upwards and apex bent down; flowers sessile, 10 stamens, 2 or 3 carpels. Growing with H. obtusifolia, which had distinctly larger leaves and flowers.
