Never seen one quite this color blue

A small racer, found in a field. This is my first ever observation of one of these! This guy was about 2 feet long, and very quick. I only got two photos before he slithered away.

Waded into lake to grab this stinky dead specimen. Cave spring water is very cold!

A large adult male Virile, caught at the White Cottage Snack Bar in Woodstock, VT. This specimen is form 1 and has a regenerated left claw.

There were many more the day before, washed up onto the beach

A large, deceased adult male Virile Crayfish, found in the stream. It was a Form I male and had a broken prodactylus on its left claw. Cause of death is unknown.

My first semi-large Virile crayfish for this year. It's a Form I male, and the tips of the dactyl and prodactyl of his right claw are regenerated.
Caught and released in the stream.

I’ve seen crayfish like these in the pond by the Grange, but I’m still unsure of what species they are. I think they might be rusty crayfish.
