Found this tiny snake and eggs under a log. I'm not sure if they are related though.
I was out in my yard looking for butterflies when I saw this Checkered Garter Snake near a section of water hose. Looking like it had just eaterm perhaps a Gulf Coast Toad which I see in the same area regularly.
!st one of these that I have found at my place. Images 1 and 2 taken from directly behind the hairstreak where the two blue "eyes" can be seen "looking" at you. I love that angle and watching the eyes move up and down. @tfandre I thought you might enjoy images 1 and 2 since they are not typical :-)

After a great trip with Darrell in Tennessee, I headed back down home...and made a few more stops... :)
Enjoyed stopping at Greenlee Park in Brinkley, Arkansas. I didn't stay too long, but I did still spot some nice organisms. :)

This was at Stuart Springs Park in Arkansas -- it'd be a great park to visit if it wasn't so sketchy... :-/ There were some folks that looked like they were up to suspicious activity. :-/
We came across 4 or 5 Texas Horned Lizards crossing the roads in this area.
