This House Finch is exhibiting possible signs of House Finch Eye Disease, a form of conjunctivitis, which seems to be increasingly common in this species. The disease first appeared in Maryland around 1992, and has since spread across the country.

This house finch is missing his left eye. Spends a lot of time everyday visiting and eating.

Poor guy had an injured eye. I suspect he had been in a fight over the feeder, possibly with a sparrow. he wasn't flying well either.
