A pensive looking two-striped jumper made for an unusual sight one morning, the ones in the backyard are usually hyper alert.

Took me a while to realize that it was infact getting ready to molt! Was fascinating to see it wriggle out of the old exoskeleton through a complicated set of manouvers for the next hour or so.

The freshly emerged spider was quite a sight (especially those patterns on the head) It stayed dazed for a bit, perhaps besotted by its new attire, before scampering back to its busy self.

In the quiet stillness of the forest, a meticulously camouflaged moth, blending seamlessly with the tree bark, falls victim to the stealth and power of a formidable jumping spider. Despite the desperate attempts to escape the moth succumbs to the spider's unyielding grasp and fast acting venom.
