A retired biologist, I have much enjoyed learning the flora and fauna of fantastic north Florida. I will continue to enjoy working to become knowledgeable and will be trying to recruit others to building a database of potential use of the Lower Suwannee and Cedar Keys National Wildlife Refuges. Although not technically part of the refuges, I have also included observations made in the city of Cedar Key. Although urbanized, Cedar Key offers better access than most of the islands within the refuges and shares many species with them. Oh, and for fun I'm also recording observations on our daily walks near our home in Gainesville's Blues Creek neighborhood, San Felasco Hammock State Preserve, and environs. Those observations are collected under another project called "blues creek".
