Current status: Looking into graduate school fellowships.
I am a recent graduate of the University of South Florida with a strong passion for insects and biodiversity. I am interested in all things entomology, including insect taxonomy, parasitology, endemicism (especially in Florida), ecology, and behavior. I enjoy learning how to identify insects as thoroughly as I can. I am also a contributing editor at BugGuide.net.

I do my best to identify insects of any order, but at the moment I'm tackling Diptera. I do not agree to IDs solely because others have agreed.

I see a lot of insect/arachnid/etc experts on here not on BugGuide. I realize that photos can only be moved by editors and that people can only become editors if they email the site's staff. I can't make anyone an editor, but if any experts have any problem with the identification of some images on there, you are more than welcome to let me know so I can move them accordingly.

In an effort to increase awareness about decolonizing nature, the vast majority of my observations take place in the land of the Seminole and the Tocobaga Native American tribes.

Profile picture features a Florida true katydid nymph, Lea floridensis. A species largely endemic to Florida, it serves as a testament to the state's unique fauna.
