I am unfamiliar with the genus, but I am leaning toward Leucophyllum frutescens because I might describe the flower as more purple than violet, I may describe its throat as inflated rather than narrow, I am a little uncertain about which corolla lobes are hairy, but the hairs are certainly heavier on one side, leaves are closely pubescent and the midrib is evident.

ID is a guess, based mostly on other local INaturalist reports for similiar looking opuntia. I am sure the ice doesn't help.
I am also unable to any descriptions or much information on synonyms of Opuntia orbiculata which would grow in this area. The apparent best information I found was at https://www.opuntiads.com/

I believe this is a Brewer's, but it is a species I rarely see well at a time of year when I rarely see the genus. I believe Chipping Sparrow can be easily eliminated by the light-colored lores. Does not look like Clay-colored to me.

I would guess cottonmouth or diamondback watersnake, but those are guesses.

I believe this is a call I should know, but I am stumped. I am not listening to the tree frog calls, but what must be a bird which chimes in occasionally. It is somewhat reminiscent of a nuthatch or the shower music from Psycho. My initial thought was a young raptor, maybe a crow? Recorded at about 11:00 pm.
