This could be a big problem, if it is Danae racemosa. It appears to be naturalized/naturalizing.
We've ruled out Smilax spp., cane(s), bamboo, Leucothoe, Nandina, etc., but please let us know if we're missing something.
Evidence in one of these photos of what appears to be previous fruiting, and also dead stems from past season(s).
Multiple occurrences (that appear to be new plants - presumably spread by its fruits, not by vegetative propagation) found in the same small, forested area. Some of these separate plants are posted in six other observations (by me).
The location of this observation may not be very accurate.
