Single adult noted tucked away on loose bark of rawiritoa (Kunzea amathicola). Noted for Farewell Spit - Wharariki Bioblitz 2019.

Common. Fruiting bodies numerous (but most under developed) on the branchlets of silver beech (Lophozonia menziesii).

Common component of lake shore turf (marginal turf). Associated with Lobelia ionantha, Eleocharis gracilis, Myriophyllum propinquum and Hydrocotyle microphylla.
